The Plymouth Historical Society receives no government
support for its mission of providing historical education and maintaining
the Plymouth Historical Museum. The Museum has two part-time staff and four
independent contractors to run a 26,000 square foot building. Utilities
expenses are near $30,000 per year. Money is always appreciated to help keep
the doors open so visitors can experience Plymouth community history.
Donations are sent directly to the Plymouth Historical Museum, a 501(c)3
charitable organization, and all donations are tax deductible. We appreciate
your support!

The Curio Cabinet
The Curio Cabinet in the Museum Gift Shop
contains many unique treasures and collectibles for sale. The Museum is
grateful for all donations received for this cabinet; but, we can always use
more. These items are great sellers!
If you have any items to donate for resale, please call Ruth Jacobs, Gift
Shop Manager, at (734) 455-8940. Donations are tax deductible—a
form will be provided upon request.
In-kind Donations
Individuals and organizations are encouraged
to make in-kind donations. Such donations range from family
heirlooms and papers that relate to the history of the Plymouth
community, to food, raffle prizes, and silent auction items for
Society events such as the annual dinner and fundraisers.
Donations of any of the following would be greatly appreciated:
Family papers and
photos of Plymouth residents
Historic clothing
and equipment
Food and
beverages for events
Computers and
peripherals
Office furniture
This list is by no means exhaustive. If you have something else
to donate, please suggest it. The Plymouth
Historical Museum is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and all
donations are tax deductible. The Museum staff cannot give
estimates on values for donated items; donors are responsible
for obtaining estimates if needed for tax purposes. Call the
Museum at 734-455-8940 to discuss any potential in-kind
donations. Thanks for thinking of us!
