Our History

About Us

Since 1948, the Plymouth Historical Society (also known as the Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum), has operated through the generosity of donors who value the rich fabric of Plymouth’s important history. Plymouth is a dynamic and desirable community because of the strong relationships between businesses and residents within the community. The Plymouth Historical Museum is both proud and honored to be a valuable staple in the community.

Mission Statement: To encourage historical study and research, to collect and preserve historical material connected with Plymouth and its vicinity, and to house such material where it may be adequately displayed and accessible to the citizens of Plymouth. It shall also be the purpose of the Society to establish an historical museum in Plymouth.
