A Night at the Museum Party

The “Night at the Museum” has come to Plymouth, and now children can experience a birthday party they will never forget. Plymouth Historical Museum staff, inspired by the movies of the same name, created this magical evening, where children discover that the characters within the Museum come alive after hours.

To schedule your child’s birthday party, which accommodates up to 10 kids, fill out the contract below to make reservations. The party is $300 for 3-4 hours of fun, including watching one of the three “Night at the Museum” movies, pizza or subs and drinks, a personalized “Tablet of Akmenrah,” interacting with Museum characters and touring the current exhibit. Kids will enjoy this memorable magical experience! If you want more information, fill out the contact form below. Please keep in mind we need at least a month to plan one of these parties and the date will depend on Museum availability.

Private Cemetery Walk

Looking for something completely unique for a milestone birthday party? Why not book a private cemetery walk with the Plymouth Historical Museum. Meet and greet eight people from Plymouth’s past—portrayed by members of the Plymouth Living History Troupe. Wear your walking shoes as the ground in the cemetery is uneven. If the party is scheduled at nighttime, guests should also bring a flashlight and umbrella—weather dependent. Please contact the Museum directly to schedule this party and realize we need at least a month to plan. Call 734-455-8940 x9 to schedule.

We greatly anticipated our daughter’s Night at the Museum birthday party. What a wonderful evening we spent watching history come to life! The Museum director and her team of reenactors kept our group of 10-year-old girls engaged and entertained. This will be one of those birthdays that we will talk about for years to come. Thank you, Plymouth Historical Museum, for a job well done.

The Tillapaughs

The Plymouth Historical Museum is truly the best-kept secret in our community.  I happened upon it by accident and am grateful I did because I was absolutely thrilled with our experience of hosting our daughter’s birthday party there. As many families with elementary-aged children, we get invited to a lot of birthday parties, and they all seem to be held at the same type of headache-inducing places:  Pump It Up, Sky Zone, etc.  So not only was the Museum new for our group of kids, it was just as fun – actually more fun! – then the standard fare.  And the frosting on the cake was that the kids walked away better for it through their learning (plus the adults really enjoyed it as well).  Plus, the value was incredible – for the venue, movie, and real-life actors, it can’t be beat!  I would highly recommend the Plymouth Historical Museum for your next birthday party or other event!
